FAQ
-
Does Window TInt block heat?
Yes. High-quality ceramic window tint can block up to 97% of infrared heat, helping keep your vehicle cooler and reducing strain on your A/C. At TNTZ Auto Care, we focus on heat rejection—not just darkening the glass.
-
Will Tint Fade over time?
Premium window films are designed not to fade, bubble, or turn purple. Lower-quality dyed films are more likely to fail over time, which is why we only install high-quality films backed by manufacturer warranties.
-
How long does it take for the tint to fully dry?
Window tint typically cures in 3–5 days. In colder Missouri weather, curing can take up to 2 weeks. During this time, light haziness or small water bubbles are normal and will disappear as the film fully sets.
-
What's the Length of the Service?
Most installations take 1–3 hours, depending on the vehicle, the number of windows and film type.
-
What’s the difference between shades (5%, 15%, 20%, etc.)?
Tint percentages refer to Visible Light Transmission (VLT) — how much light passes through the glass.
5% = Very dark (limo tint)
20% = Medium-dark
35% = Lighter and legal in many areas
We help customers choose a shade that balances privacy, heat rejection, and Missouri tint laws.
-
What are the legal window tint limits in Missouri?
Missouri law allows:
| 35% VLT on front side windows
| Any darkness on rear side and back windows
| Windshield tint must be above the AS-1 line

How to clean Windows after tinting?
Use ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools to keep your window tint looking clear and lasting longer.
